Banana Cake with Boiled Maple Icing
Ingredients
- ½ c sugar 1st mixture
- ½ c br sugar
- ½ c shortening
- Beat together til creamy with electric mixer
- Beat in 2 eggs
- 3 mashed bananas with 1 t baking soda1/4 c milk 2nd mixture
- 1 t vanilla
- Mix the above together
- 1 ½ c flour 3rd mixture
- 1t baking powder
- ¼ t salt
- Sift and mix dry ingredients
Instructions
- Add some of 3st mixture to 1st , then some of 2nd etc keep doing this for 3 times til all mixed
- Bake in greased 8X8" pan at 325'
- Icing
- ½ c brown sugar
- ½ c maple syrup
- /4 c butter
- /4 c milk
- boil about 6-8 min be careful it does not boil over
- beat in icing sugar til thick
