French Paprika Dressing
This recipe makes 1 cup servings French dressing poured over wedges of iceberg lettuce makes a refreshing summer salad – and one that is currently enjoying a resurgence in popularity.
Ingredients
- ⅔ cup (150 mL) vegetable oil
- ⅓ cup (75 mL) sour cream
- ¼ cup (60 mL) lemon juice
- 4 tsp (18 mL) tomato paste
- 1 tbsp (15 mL) granulated sugar
- 1 tsp (5 mL) sweet paprika
- ½ tsp (2 mL) salt
- ½ tsp (2 mL) dry mustard
- 1 Pinch cayenne pepper
Instructions
- In blender, blend oil, sour cream, lemon juice, tomato paste, sugar, paprika, salt, mustard and cayenne until combined. (Make-ahead: Refrigerate in airtight container for up to 5 days.)
