Sweet and Sour Cabbage with Bacon
Ingredients
- 1 t oil
- 4 slices bacon, cut ½ " pieces
- 1 medium onion , thinly sliced
- 1 med green cabbage (3 lb), cut into 1 " pieces
- ¾ c cider or rice vinegar
- 2T sugar
- 3T soya sauce
Instructions
- Cook bacon in heated oil til crisp
- Transfer bacon to a plate
- Add onion and cabbage and cook til cabbage is wilted (10 min)
- Add vinegar, sugar and soy and cook til cabbage tender crisp, 10 min
- Stir in bacon
- Can refrigerate for up to a week
