- 2 c chopped dates
- water
- 1 T frozen conc orange juice
- 1/4 T lemon juice
Cook til dates are soft, add water as needed
- 1/4 c butter
- 1/4 c coconut oil
- 1/3 – 1/2 c maple syrup
- 1 c whole wheat flour
- 2 T hemp seed
- 1/2 t baking soda
- 1 t baking powder
- 1/2 c quick cooking oats
- up to 2 c large flake oats
- Cream first 3 ingredients.
- Mix together next 4 ingredients and then stir into fat mixture
- Add oats and mix well.
- Pat a layer of oat mix into a greased 8X8 ” pan, using more than half of it.
- Spread on date mixture and then top with rest of oat mix
- Sprinkle a little of large flake oats on the top, if desired.
- Bake at 325 til lightly brown.
