Fry 1/2 lb or more of ground pork or beef in large fry pan
Add 2 cloves chopped garlic and about 1 cup chopped onions.
Cover and simmer for 4 min
Then add the following and simmer til mixture thickens a little:
28 oz jar tomatoes
1 c tomato or spaghetti sauce
1/2 t cinnamon
1/2 t nutmeg
1/2 t pepper
1 t salt
2 T lemon juice
Then add 1 small cabbage thinly sliced (food processor) Add some of the cabbage and stir in, then add more – so it does not escape the pan and make a mess
Cover and simmer for 5 min.
Note:
1. Can refrigerate for 3 days or freeze up to 3 months
2. Serve with cornbread.
3. Also good with napa cabbage
