Maple sauce for Raspberry upside down cake
- ⅓ c brown sugar
- 1T cornstarch
- 2 T cold water
- ⅓ c maple syrup
- ¾ c water
- 1 T butter
- dash salt
- Mix sugar and cornstarch thoroughly; add cold water and stir to a thin paste; add to hot water.
- Cook (i usually cook in micro wave) til no taste of raw starch; add butter.
- If you don’t want to use the maple syrup, use ⅔ c brown sugar (the dark brown is better) and add ½ t vanilla at end.
